What is bioadvance?
SW Biofuels’ BioAdvance is a premium Biodiesel product conforming to European Biodiesel quality standard EN14214.
BioAdvance is a clean burning alternative fuel produced from renewable resources and can be blended at any concentration with mineral Diesel. Typical blends are 5% (B5), 50% (B50) and 100% (B100).
BioAdvance is a renewable diesel fuel with performance characteristics which typically exceed mineral diesel.
- The combustion of BioAdvance is carbon neutral, since all CO2 emitted is reabsorbed by the energy crop utilised in our manufacturing process (typically Oilseed Rape, Soybean Oil or Waste Vegetable Oil).
- BioAdvance features superior lubrication properties when compared to mineral Diesel. Research conducted by engine manufacturers has indicated that an increased blend concentration provides significant reductions in engine wear.
- BioAdvance features a Cetane number greater than mineral Diesel (>51) and therefore reduces engine ignition delay.
- BioAdvance customers have reported improvements in fuel economy as a result of increased blend concentrations, despite a calorific value similar to mineral Diesel. SWBF attributes this to an improvement in engine efficiency resulting from BioAdvance’s increased Cetane number and improved lubrication performance.
- BioAdvance’s Sulphur content is a maximum of 10 parts per million (ppm), which is 1/5 of Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel’s content.
- BioAdvance is biodegradable, less toxic than cooking salt and does not contain the carcinogenic Polyaromatics Benzene, Toluene or Xylene, unlike mineral Diesel.
- BioAdvance can provide emission reductions in Carbon Monoxide, Hydrocarbons and particulates by up to 50%.
